The world’s largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin has traded more than 2% today. Bitcoin price fell 2.81% to $48,104 on Coinmarketcap. The cryptocurrency market cap has fallen to $910 billion.

Currently, the global cryptocurrency market cap is $2.25 trillion, down 4.26%. Other cryptocurrencies were also trading in the red today.

Ethereum is down 5.92% to $4,076 and Dogecoin is trading down 4.85% at $0.1682. Digital token Stellar is down 6% to $0.2372 and Litecoin is down 4.49% to $152.44.

XRP lost 1.46% to $0.8325 and Uniswap fell 8% to $15.77.

Recently, cryptocurrency prices have skyrocketed on the back of comments from billionaire Elon Musk and Kathy Wood from Ark Investment Management LLC.

In late July, Elon Musk said that Tesla would “probably” start accepting Bitcoin as payment again. The suspension helped the cryptocurrency to cross the $30K level.

The electric car maker said in May that it would no longer accept cryptocurrency for purchase. It’s been a wild ride for bitcoin for the past three years.

The digital currency made its debut on Wall Street in December 2017, when major futures exchanges rolled out Bitcoin futures. Interest has pushed Bitcoin to nearly $19,300, an almost unheard of price for the coin.
